Gynecomastia asymmetry can include only one or both breasts. Unilateral gynecomastia occurs when only one breast is larger due to gynecomastia and the other breast is often normal both in size and shape. Bilateral Asymmetry happens when gynecomastia is present in both breasts, but in varying degrees. Different amounts of glandular tissue affects the size, shape, and location on the chest wall of the enlarge area, the size of the areolas, and protrusion and diameter of the nipples.
As with all cosmetic surgery, results are most gratifying when expectations are realistic.
